May the wind carry me away from here,
to a place so free.
That's how it would feel, how I feel
every time the wind carried me.
So I left my home, I got out the nest,
to let the wind embrace me vast.
But the breeze grew to storm in time
until I found myself hiding down.
Never I could forget the way it felt,
when soft air caressed on my wings.
Never I forgot my heart's deepest wish:
May the wind carry me away.
I have lost my wings, lost my faith
in myself, god, the human race.
At least I can hope that I will be free,
free again to be complete.
May the wind carry me away
from this unholy hiding place of mine
to be a bird once again singing my song
to the divine wide sky.
