Silently watching

Silently watching there he stood,
too proud to speak it seems.
Leaving things be as they would
His gaze betraying neither hope nor dreams.

Silently watching like he stands
no one can feel his pain,
as every great thing is in vain
and every friendship ends.

Silently watching as the ones go by
which supposedly he should hate
when they have gone he will sigh
and whisper:
my friends, is it for us too late?
