The Beautiful Beast

Through the death of night I went
Seeking no more then fun and friends
The moon's and stars' cool eyes forgotten,
When the beautiful beast came upon me

It's cruel gaze, it's demonic howl
It's tainted light embracing me
Enchanting me, charming me

Closer and closer it came
I knew it was death on arrival.

When the beautiful beast had found me,
How could I have fought?
How could I have run?
Trying to outstare the floodlights
