Sonar Range I

There were a dolphin and a dragon
and the dragon said,
I'll always be faithful and be true.
But when the big storm came
they both chose their own ways.
And never they did meet each other again.

But then the dolphin dived down to his sonar range,
And this is what he screamed to the sea.
I thought you'd always love me,
thought you'd always be there,
but now you're so far, far away.

Hey, can't you see,
that I am still deeply in love with you?
Hey, can't you see,
all I ever dreamed of was you?

And as the dolphin
cried into sleep each night
he dreamed of the sky above the storm
and of the promises the dragon had given him
and of the wonderful life he longed for.

But as the storm whiped the waters
and clouds blocked the sky,
hope seemed to be so very far away,
for a lonely phin in a very wide sea,
with only thunder as a lullaby.

(and the dolphin cried)

I thought you'd always love me,
thought you always would be there,
but you're so far away.
Never will the storm be over,
Oh god, I miss you so,
but you're so far away

And every night the dolphin cried,
until the storm was at last over
and he could swim in sun again
but there was no dragon over the horizont anymore
And though he would never forget,
he whispered silently to the sky above:
You know I loved you,
but now it is too late.
